Erin Kennedy and Joshua Laing, a dietitian and a doctor, were great friends before realising there was a spark. The pair relish in the fact they are such different people who are still so perfectly matched. “Josh is more adventurous, whereas I tend to be more grounded,” explains Erin. “At the core of our relationship is a strong friendship, a love for animals and we both a strong value for our family and friends.” The pair, with the help of Josh’s cousin Thea, styled much of their marquee wedding on the Bellarine. Erin remembers the delight of being able to the make the celebration a true representation of them, choosing or designing every element. The couple, who love travelling and exploring the world together, headed to Sri Lanka for their blissful honeymoon.

Australian designer Anna Campbell has launched its latest bridal collection, and it is full of floating fabrics and sweet, feminine design.

The range, called Wanderlust, is fit for the modern bohemian bride and features exclusive embroidered fabrics, floating silks, custom-designed laces and detailed hand-beaded embellishments.

Wanderlust was photographed at Byron Bay, on the NSW coast.

One of the standouts of the collection is the 3D floral appliqué of the Paige Dress, made from raw cut ribbon and silk organza, with sparkling glass beads and ivory pearlescent shimmer.

Brides looking for the ultimate bridal statement will be drawn to the decadent Wanda Dress, a dress first designed by Anna for one of her closest friends. Created from a tulle fabric luxuriously hand-beaded with thousands of hand-sewn sequins, sparkling glass beads and pearls, the Wanda brings glamorous all-over sparkle with the option for brides to choose a draped sleeve for extra drama and coverage.

Designer Anna Campbell explains the collection was all about staying true to the embellishments and unique lace adornments that have become iconic to the label, but reinvigorating these details for a modern bride.

Each dress is individually hand cut and sewn in Melbourne, also giving brides the option to customise their gown to suit their fit and style with luxury fabric options, the addition of draped or capped sleeves or additional custom embellishments for a bit of extra sparkle.

“Aside from the incredible quality we achieve, one of the true advantages of continuing to design and hand-make dresses in Melbourne is that we have the flexibility to tailor each bride’s dress uniquely for her,” says Anna.

“Our brides know when they step into their dress on their wedding day, everything is going to not only fit beautifully, but also feel incredible.”

From top: Winter with summer skirt; Rebekah; Blake; Blossom footcuffs; Jamie with summer skirt; Jamie with trumpet skirt; Saasha; Harlow; Amelia with draped sleeve; Kira; Eva;  and Blair.

The Wanderlust collection is priced from $2599 and is available at the Anna Campbell Melbourne boutique, Australian and international stockists, or the Anna Campbell e-boutique.

Stacey Collett met Luke Baldwin in their hometown of Colac five years ago. It was the pair’s love, passion and generosity that drew them together.
“Her heart is full of gold,” says Luke of his wife.
In fact, gold balloons spelling out ‘Mr & Mrs’ were a statement piece at their wedding at Clyde Park in Bannockburn.
Stacey wore an off-white strapless gown from Embrace Bridal Boutique, walking down the aisle.
“The whole day was perfect, I wouldn’t change a thing,” says Stacey.

The pair wed at Werribee Mansion in front of their 96 guests. “One of our first dates was at the Werribee Mansion – we fell in love with it and always knew we’d get married there,” says Bella.

Taegan Pearson and Grant James met when they were staying on adjoining campsites at the Apollo Bay Music Festival.
“It was by chance that we both stopped at the Forrest shop at the same time on the way home, so we exchanged details and arranged to catch up again,” Taegan remembers. Grant proposed on a drizzly day walking along the beach in Lorne.
A rainbow appeared just as Grant went down on one knee.
The pair were married in a national park; the environmentally minded couple asked friends and family to shower them in gum leaves as confetti after they became husband and wife.
