Ross popped the question on the day the Geelong West couple had been to the hospital for their 20-week scan of their first baby.
“It was in our kitchen, after a home cooked meal and with a homemade ring – the perfect finish to the day where we’d seen our baby for the first time,” Mia recalls.
“Even though we knew the big question was coming, when Ross finally got down on one knee and asked it was the best feeling ever.”
A no-fuss, low-key day filled with love was the perfect way for the couple to start their life together as a family with their little girl, Violet.
Surrounded by 150 of their nearest and dearest, the couple, who own Geelong
“We got married in the front yard in the morning, then had our reception in the calf paddock later in the afternoon – surrounded by the most incredible view of Swan Bay and Queenscliff,” Mia says.
The farm was filled with festive finishes, including bunches of beautiful florals, hay bails, fire pits,
festoon lights and a circus tent for dancing.
The creative pair organised custom stubby holders for everyone to keep their beers cool on the day and for years to come.
Little Violet was the star in the couple’s first dance.
“We really cherished that time as a little family, and a special moment was re-reading our vows to each other in front of our friends late in the night after a lot of dancing and celebrating,” Mia remembers.
