Christmas morning was extra festive for Hannah Calabro when Matt Deledio popped the question in the countryside.
Matt got down on one knee at his grandparents’ farm in Natte Yallock.
“We were on a beautiful big hill with amazing views, watching the sunrise over a hot cup of coffee,” Hannah smiles.
“Matt proposed with a huge fake diamond ring from Diva and we ended up getting the real one custom-made which was so special.”
The pair, who met in 2009 through mutual friends, is quick to point out what they love about each other.
Matt says Hannah is “a caring and giving person who always puts others before herself” and Hannah loves Matt’s “kind-hearted determination and commitment to be the best he can be”.
They married at the Barwon Heads Uniting Church on their three-year anniversary on November 1 in front of 130 guests.
An extra special touch was walking out of the church to Matt’s cousin Leigh singing The Lumineers’ Ho Hey.
Matt’s best man was his brother, Richmond footballer Brett Deledio, and Hannah’s maid of honour was her sister, Laura Calabro.
The reception followed at At the Heads, with venue stylist Laura Hill assisting the couple with styling the function room.
“Laura was so organised, filled with ideas and nothing was ever too hard,” Hannah says.
