But Jack Rabbit Vineyard proved too irresistible for the Newtown couple.
“We booked it then and there because of the amazing view – we knew it was the perfect place,” Kate remembers.
“The staff had all the time in the world for us and were so thoughtful – they even gave us a bottle of champagne as we were leaving to enjoy on our wedding night.”
Kate, who wore a gorgeous strapless gown and sweet floral crown, chose flowers to be the standout style feature of the wedding.
The stunning bouquets featured peonies, David Austin roses and berries, while inside a gorgeous floral instalment was the centrepiece of the reception.
Looking back on her wedding, Kate’s advice for brides-to-be is to enlist the help of a videographer who can help them to relive their special day for years to come.
“We’ve now got this four-minute video that I watch most days,” she says.
“There’s a lot of really nice moments on there that I missed, like Daniel getting ready in the morning, guests arriving and snippets of everybody dancing and enjoying themselves.”
The couple, who has travelled the world together, jetted off for a three-month honeymoon in Europe and the US.
